Are You Good-Looking Enough For Your Job?

Posted by Shisuka Friday, December 5, 2008 0 comments

Beauty has muscle. Beauty captures our attention and pulls us in?

Beauty is only skin deep, but it counts almost for everything. Especially , within the first few seconds of meeting a prospect.

Most, if not all of the time, we take things at face value. Here are a few examples:

1) You buy the 'orange-ist' orange - even though you know they've probably been sprayed with chemicals to look that way.

2) Your mouth waters as you stumble across a succulent joint of lamb in a Sunday supplement - even though you know it's probably been lightly 'dusted' in creosote to look that way.

3) Your attention is drawn to a lithe, tanned young thing on the TV screen - even though? see 1 above.

We take things at face value? And so do your prospects.

A colleague of mine is an N.L.P expert, and I mean EXPERT. He has spent years and years learning and developing his skills. Pouring over books, attending seminars, taking exams? He's worked closely with Paul McKenna? He's a Master's Masters N.L.P instructor (or something or other), and yet? He struggles to find clients. Why?

Well one major reason it that he doesn't LOOK like an expert. People judge and they don't see beyond the clothes, the haircut and the bad time keeping. And so he doesn't get hired. Totally unjustified, but true?

You could say he's a 'green' orange*.

It doesn't matter how good you look on the inside - your prospects judge the 'packaging' first. So are you good looking enough for your job? Or in other words? Are you looking good enough for your job?

How to Look Slimmer

Posted by Shisuka 0 comments

No matter what their size, most women want to look slimmer. By wearing clothes that are appropriate for your body shape you can look as much as 10 pounds slimmer. For those who are tired of dieting or just can't seem to lose those last few pounds choosing clothes that are right for you and suit your body type will make you look slimmer - instantly. This is how it works; we are all built with our weight distributed in different places, which makes us unique. Manufacturers are not concerned about how clothes look on the average female but how it looks on models. They create fashion looks for the ideal body type. If you do not have the ideal shape and wear whatever is in style or looks great on someone else you may be hiding your assets and dressing to make yourself look bigger, out-of-proportion, or unattractive. The last thing we want to do is create a look that makes us appear larger or out-of-proportion; however, that's what we do when we are not aware of the impact of line, design, proportion and color. Line and design is much more that wearing horizontal stripes, it is how the lines in the garment are formed, the shape and proportion of garments and how they are used to create the best look and how the lines of the body interact with the lines in clothes. Also, with color, it is not simply what color looks best on you (which is very important) but how color works with the lines of a garment to determine the final look. Here are some general guidelines that will create a slimming look but is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to dressing to your full potential and looking slimmer.

Tips to Look Slimmer:

1. Don't wear frills or extra material that adds bulk. Don't wear bulky sweaters, or sweatshirts.

2. Avoid shiny fabrics such as velour and satin.

3. To make your legs appear smaller wear dark hose. Don't wear patterned tights.

4. Don't wear oversized, shapeless clothing to hide bulges- they will make you appear larger instead.

5. Wear undergarments that have good support.

6. Dress in monochromatic colors without patterns. Darker colors will make you appear smaller - navy, dark green, gray or black.

7. Avoid horizontal stripes. Thin vertical lines will give a slimming look.

Want a different eye color than the one you were born with? No longer does anyone have to be satisfied with what biology gave them. Pink contact lenses, along with other colors, have found their way into the market and they are making quite a splash!

Pink contact lenses are mainly worn for cosmetic purposes and generally are not for those needing a prescription to improve eyesight problems. Although it must be said that pink contact lenses still must be fitted by a professional eye care specialist and all lens wearers must follow the same cleaning procedures as regular contact lens wearers do.

Pink contact lenses are in a category all their own- meant for effect and to alter one's eye appearance, say for example for a special night out. Many people go the pretty in pink contact lens route just because they want to show some variety and have some fun.

It should not come as a shock that young teenage girls and twentysomething women can more often be seen sporting pink contact lenses than young men. It is a fashion statement that eyes can be stylish too.

Pink contact lenses come in "enhancer tints" and "opaque colored." The opaque tends towards being a little more dramatic but not too much so. Pink lenses can be purchased through your eye doctor or over the Internet. It is advisable however to have regular eye check ups and discuss the "fun" option in contact lenses with people who know their business well and can answer any and all questions you might have.

So the next time you get decked out in a pretty pink gown ladies, don't forget that pink contact lenses are now an option to dress you up even more.

They typically grow in cooler climates, mostly grow in west of China, Korea and east of Siberia. Ginseng is one of herb plants that have been used for health since hundred years ago and it was aware of its wide use in the treatment of type II diabetes, including sexual dysfunction in men, and several diseases.

Ginseng appears to have antioxidant effects that may benefit patients with heart disorders. Several studies suggest ginseng may lower blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes before and after meals. These results are promising, especially because ginseng does not seem to lower blood sugar to dangerous levels. Several studies report that ginseng may boost the immune system, improve the effectiveness of antibiotics in people with acute bronchitis, and enhance the body's response to flu vaccines.
